I wish I lived in the area so I could try more of their food. Everyone was very pleased with everything. The carrot cake and coconut cake were hits as well. Others in our group had the chowder, Hell Burger, fried chicken, meatloaf, and fried shrimp for dinner. My wife had the crab cakes, which were excellent.

The Shrimp and Grits, which I've only had once in my life, were very good. Our order was taken quickly and the food arrived as ordered. Several heaters were located around the patio, which helped to take some of the chill from the air. The outdoor patio was partially empty since it was a cool evening. When we arrived the dining room had a 30-40 minute wait so we opted to dine al fresco. The menu looked like it had plenty of options to appease the picky eaters in our group. And if their Mount Pleasant outpost is any indication, there will be a whole new batch of regulars to keep the business thriving for many years to come. We had the peanut butter pie and the carrot cake - absolutely divine! And equally good the following day! The size of the desserts is huge (and after such a great meal, it's hard to have room in your stomach) but you must try them. Then he made the "mistake" of walking past the dessert cooler, so we had to order dessert. He cleaned his plate and raved over the taste. My husband had the chicken fried chicken with the pimento cheese grits and fried okra. Then I had the chicken & waffles - unbelievably delicious! The waffles contained bits of corn and jalapeño which gave them an awesome taste, and two large pieces of fried chicken topped it off. Started with the fried green tomato appetizer - OMG! SO delicious! I could have made a meal of just that! The apricot sauce, pimento cheese, and okra relish that came with them were all wonderful.
